Will the third time be a charm for Ricky?
- Updated: May 22, 2012

The sports world is still a buzz because last night, Giancarlo Stanton drove a grand slam that hit the Marlins’ score board in left field…LITERALLY. The scoreboard showed a big patch of blackened lights after the shot. The Marlins would go on and win the game 7 to 4. Mark Buehrle got his 4th win of the season and Heath Bell got the save (6).
Tonight at 7:10 PM ET at Marlins Park. Ricky Nolasco (4-2) will be on the hill as he will try to make Marlins history in his 3rd opportunity. He is currently tied with Dontrelle Willis with 68 for the most franchise wins.
As for Colorado, they’ll go with the RHP Juan Nicasio (2-1). His last start wasn’t a good one by walking five batters in just 4 2/3 innings, but he ended with a no-decision in a 9-7 loss to the D-backs.
Marlins’ Lineup vs Rockies: Reyes SS Petersen CF Ramirez 3B Kearns LF Stanton RF Morrison 1B Buck C Murphy 2B Nolasco P
Notes:
- The score board that Stanton hit last night is ready to go according to the Marlins Park twitter account.
- The Marlins have won 15 games in May, just two shy of the franchise record.
- The Marlins have a 50-29 home record against the Rockies, the best against any team.
The game will be on Fox Sports Florida and on the radio at MAJIC 102.7 and WAQI 710.
