The Marlins are Ready to Win on Mother’s Day Finale

A rough outing by Ricky Nolasco yesterday, cost a lot for the Marlins as they lost 9 to 3 to the New York Mets. The Marlins look to win the series today at home and on Mother’s Day .

First pitch is at 1:10 PM ET at Marlins Park. Carlos Zambrano (1-2)  is coming off a complete game shutout against the Houston Astros, he’ll get the ball this afternoon for the Marlins. Left handed pitcher Jon Niese will start for the Mets. He’s 2 and 1 with an ERA of 4.01 this season.

In the last 5 years, Zambrano is 4-2 with a 2.89 ERA with a 1.36 WHIP and 46 strikeouts against the Mets. While, Niese is 1-4 with an ERA of 5.67 and 28 strikeouts against the Marlins in the last 5 years.
