Recap: Marlins @ Nationals Game 3

Ricky Nolasco shuts out the Washington Nationals again as the Miami Marlins won eight to zero.
The Marlins took the lead early in the second inning, when Rob Brantly singled on a ground ball to center fielder Bryce Harper and Greg Dobbs scored from second base. Next hitter, Ricky Nolasco doubled to center, scoring 2 runs.
In the fourth, the Marlins scored a pair of runs thanks to an RBI single by Bryan Petersen and an RBI double from Justin Ruggiano. Also, the Marlins scored another run in the fifth, as Donovan Solano hit a sac fly that scored Giancarlo Stanton.
Ricky Nolasco tossed a four hitter as he got the completed game shutout. He struck out six batters and walked only one. Nolasco’s record improves to twelve wins and twelve loses.
Wait there’s more! Later in the seventh, Giancarlo Stanton belted his thirty-third homer to left field. He has homered in all three games this weekend. Also in the eighth, Carlos Lee hit a single on a line drive to center; Bryan Petersen scored.
The Miami Marlins defeated the Washington Nationals eight to zero.
