Recap: Marlins @ Braves Game 2
- Updated: September 27, 2012
The Miami Marlins got shutout by the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field.
Josh Johnson once again had a quality start and once again the Marlins’ offense couldn’t help him with run support. Johnson allowed three runs (two earned) in six innings with seven strikeouts.
The three runs that Braves scored was due to a home run by Martin Prado, a RBI single to right again by Martin Prado and the last run was an unearned run as Dan Uggla scored from third base.
Braves’ starter Paul Maholm threw 6 2/3 innings and struck out six batters.
The Marlins couldn’t score a run in the entire ball game as they were shutout. The Fish were 0 for 4 with runners in scoring position and left 8 on base.
Craig Kimbrel closed out the game and earned his 40th save of the season. The Braves defeated the Marlins three to zero in Atlanta
