Ozzie replies to Bell; Stanton to try to return tonight
- Updated: September 26, 2012
Yesterday, Heath Bell ripped Ozzie Guillen on “The Dan Sileo Show”. Heath Bell said: It’s hard to respect a guy that doesn’t tell you the truth or doesn’t tell you face-to-face”
Here’s what Ozzie Guillen had to say:
Via Miami Herald: As Bell sat in front of his locker before Tuesday’s game in Atlanta, unidentified teammates cranked the volume on Guillen’s weekly radio call-in show on 790 The Ticket to force him to listen to their manager answer questions about the controversy.
Asked if he still respected Bell, Guillen replied, “As a player, yes. As a guy, I don’t know.”
I’m with Ozzie Guillen, sure he had a terrible first half of the season and yes he has been better but not for the closer role. Remember like a week ago when Heath Bell was giving the ball to save in Washington after a hour of rain? OH YEAH! He also blow the game and eventually the Nationals won the game in extras.
- Giancarlo Stanton will try to return tonight
Giancarlo Stanton, who hasn’t been playing for while due to an intercostal muscle strain, will try to return to action tonight against Braves, reports Joe Capozzi of the Palm Beach Post on Twitter.
Stanton, 22, is batting .283/.354/.595 with 34 home runs and 84 RBI in 117 games this season.
