No Offense Dooms Marlins on their Way to a Sweep in NY

Heath Bell gave up 2 runs in the 9th inning as he ended up with the blown save and the loss as the New York Mets beat the Miami Marlins 3 to 2 at Citi Field. The Marlins have lost 5 straight games on the road and now they are 2 and 9 on the road.
Ricky Nolasco had a nice outing by allowing just one run on 5 hits with 5 strike outs and 1 walk in 7 inning. He was ending up with the win until the blown save as he ended up with the no-decision.
Gaby Sanchez hit a solo homer to left field to tie up the game in the 3rd inning. Later in the 5th, Marlins’ 2nd baseman Omar Infante hit a double to start off the inning. Next up was Giancarlo Stanton and he batted a single to center field. The following batter, Gaby Sanchez hit into a 4 to 6 to 3 double play but, Infante would end up scoring from 3rd base as the Marlins were taking the lead 2 -1.
Randy Choate pitched a scoreless inning by striking out 2 batters in the 8th inning.
In the bottom of the 9th, Heath Bell walked David Wright with no outs. Lucas Duda would ground out to first baseman but David Wright would move to 2nd base. Bell walked two straight batters and now the based were loaded with 1 out and he would walk the following batter as well, David Wright scored and the game was tied up to 2. Kirk Nieuwenhuis singled on a fly ball to right field, Josh Thole scored and the New York Mets win in walk-off fashion and leave the Miami Marlins on the field.
Next Game: The Marlins will return home on Friday as they open up a four game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Carlos Zambrano will get the ball in this one, he will face Joe Saunders.
