Minor Moves: Murphy, Cousins and Rosario

The Miami Marlins have outrighted two infielders (Donnie Murphy and Gil Velazquez) to Triple-A New Orleans:
- Donnie Murphy batted .216/.281/.379 in 116 at-bats with the Miami Marlins
- Gil Velazquez hit .232/.246/.250 in 56 at-bats for Miami this year.
Two Marlins’ players were claimed off of waivers:
- The Toronto Blue Jays claimed outfielder Scott Cousins. Cousins hit .163/.200/.267 in 86 at-bats for the Marlins this season.
- The Red Sox claimed right-hander Sandy Rosario. Rosario tossed in only four games this season with the Miami. While in the minors, he had an of 1.99 ERA in 31 2/3 innings.
Nick Green has elected free agency, according to MLB.com’s transactions page. Green hit .174/.208/.304 in 23 at-bats for Miami this season.
