Marlins ace Josh Johnson returned to the mound for his first start since May. Johnson’s first pitch was a 91 mph, fastball and was foul tip by Schumaker. His fastest pitched was a 94 mph fastball. Johnson pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings and ended with 41 pitches. He left the game early due to his limited pitch count.

Recently acquired Wade LeBlanc had a great relief in his first Spring Training game as a Marlins. He had a scoreless 2.1 innings with no walks and three strike outs. Chad Gaudin and Gary Glover also pitched scoreless innings.

Chris Hatcher had a rocky outing, giving up 3 runs in the 9th inning. But it didn’t matter because Daniel Jennings came out and save the day.
