Marlins vs Nationals Game 2 8/29/12
- Updated: August 30, 2012
Today the Marlins look to earn a sweep at home against the Washington Nationals. Jacob Turner looked calm, cool and under control for the first 3 innings, after the 4th things would change.
The Nationals would score on a home run from rookie Bryce Harper who would homer again in the 5th inning. In the top of the 9th Bryce would ground out in a 6-4-3 DP and slammed his helmet to the ground as he past first base, 1st base umpire would then throw him out of the game. If Bryce Harper can’t learn to control his emotions he is going to cost the team some wins. Michael Morse with a RBI triple in the 4th that scored Jason Werth.
Jacob turner retired the first 9 batters he faced in a 8-4 loss. The Marlins will stay home and await the New York Mets on Friday to play in what will be a 3 games series.
Donovan Solano has increased his hitting streak to 12 games and continues to rake at 3 for 4.
