Marlins got shut out by Nats
- Updated: July 16, 2012
The Marlins couldn’t score a run as they lost 4 to 0 to the Washington Nationals.
After defeating the Washington Nationals on Saturday, the Marlins were looking to get into a winning streak.
Unfortunately, the Marlins couldn’t take advantage of the Nationals’ starter Stephan Strasburg as they were 1-for-13 with runners in scoring position and they left 11 on base.
Ricky Nolasco had a no-no until the fifth inning when the Nationals scored two runs and would later score two more in the sixth.
All though the Marlins lost, the bullpen was solid. Wade LeBlanc threw 1.2 innings as only gave up a hit. Heath Bell and Mike Dunn both had 1-2-3 innings.
Next Game: Carlos Zambrano will get the ball for the Marlins as he faces Edwin Jackson and the Nationals in the series finale at 7:10 ET at Marlins Park.
