Marlins Facts: Stanton, LeBlanc, Solano and Lee
- Updated: August 26, 2012
After last night eight to two loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers, here’s some quick information about the Marlins.
- Last night, Giancarlo Stanton belted his eighty-fourth career home runs and he ties Mickey Mantle and Andruw Jones for ninth most by players before age 23.
- After just two days on being sent to the bullpen, Wade LeBlanc, who threw seven innings on Wednesday in Arizona had to pitch in the fourth and fifth innings because of Josh Johnson, who couldn’t go more than three innings.
- Marlins’ rookie Donovan Solano extended his hit streak to nine games on Saturday. Solano is hitting .291 in just 59 games this season.
- According to Joe Frisaro, there has been some discussion between the Marlins and Carlos Lee about a return next season. Carlos Lee, 36, is batting .267/.364/.339 with two homers and thirty RBI’s in fourth-seven games with the Marlins this season.
