Marlins activate Bonifacio and Murphy from the DL

The Miami Marlins have designated Gil Velazquez for assignment and optioned Scott Cousins to triple-a New Orleans. In the same move, the Marlins activated Emilio Bonifacio and Donnie Murphy from the disable list.
Emilio Bonifacio hasn’t played in the majors since he re-injured his his left thumb on August 3. Bonifacio is batting .261/.335/.321 with one home run, eleven runs batted in and thirty steals in sixty-one games.
As for Donnie Murphy, he injured his left hamstring on the same day Bonifacio got hurt. Murphy is hitting .194/.267/.403 with three homers and eight RBI’s in thirty-three games.
