Jacob Turner will stay in the Major League
- Updated: August 23, 2012
Yesterday, Jacob Turner made his debut with the Miami Marlins. It was a quality start, but could have been bit better though.
Jacob Turner pitched six innings and he struck out five batters and walked none but he gave up three runs.
Sadly Jim Joyce made a bad call at second base on a sliding Gerardo Parra; Donovan Solano applied the tag to Parra before he got to the bag but Jim Joyce called him safe. Parra would then score on an Arron Hill base hit and the D’backs went on to win the game.
Well, now Jacob Turner is 1-3 with an ERA of 7.55 in his career in the Major League.
The Miami Marlins have decided to keep him in the majors and send down left handed reliever Dan Jennings to Triple-A.
