It’s Fish vs. Pirates Again Tonight
- Updated: May 15, 2012
The Pittsburgh Pirates scored just enough to beat the Marlins 3-2 yesterday in Miami. The Marlins look to tie up the series in the finale, before traveling to Atlanta to face the Braves.
Josh Johnson (0-3) is still looking for his first win of the season as he’ll take the mound for the Miami Marlins. His last outing was a good one by going seven-innings, two-run effort against Houston in which he struck out six and walked two but ended with the no-decision.
Pittsburgh will go with the RHP Kevin Correia (1-3), who has lost 3 straight games on the road. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits in 7 innings with 1 strikeout and walked 2 in his last start.
The last 5 years, Josh Johnson is 2-0 with a 1.20 ERA with a 0.67 WHIP and 15 strikeout against the Pirates. While Kevin Correia is 2-2 with an ERA of 5.76 ERA with a 1.84 WHIP and 15 strikeout against the Marlins.
