It really isn’t that bad over here

5

For all the torture that the Marlins have put us through, if we think about it just a little bit deeper, we don’t have that bad.

Apart from being in last place, at least our manager doesn’t want to punch a radio host in the face. Bobby Valentine, manager of the Boston Red Sox, whom might as well have the worst job in all of baseball might see the door as soon as the season the over.

I’m not letting Ozzie Guillen off the hook with his comments he made earlier in the year, but for the most part the players aren’t after his head. When we think of the Red Sox we imagine them in the postseason, but Valentine hasn’t been able to bring this team together and if the players don’t believe there is no hope.

Another factor that we have pretty good over in Miami, the Houston Astros. The Astros decided to dump their highest paid athletes and focus on the youth. Also they won’t be part of the National League next season as they will transfer to the American League West Division.

Let me put this very simple, if they can’t win in a league which I think is easier, they aren’t going to win in a league where they have to face the Yankees, Red Sox, Rangers, Angels, Tigers. It was a long season this year and it’s going to be a longer one next year.

At least we don’t have the worst record in the Majors, let’s leave it at that.

We have Reyes and Stanton, a young pitching group which have potential and more importantly, money.

This season was a big bust and we can’t do anything about it but be optimistic about next year. The clubhouse isn’t filled with prima donnas and we have chemistry.

The Marlins can’t be bit with the injury bug and with consistent production from our ball players there is no reason why shouldn’t we see this team in the postseason.
