The Marlins defeated the Rockies 7 to 6, last night. A game that featured the Marlins’ RHP Ricky Nolasco making franchise history in all-time wins with 69, surpassing Dontrelle Willis.
Tonight’s ballgame won’t be televised in Florida, so you’ll have to listen to Dave Van Horne & Glenn Geffner on the radio as the Marlins try to sweep the Colorado Rockies at 7:10 PM ET at Marlins Park.
Carlos Zambrano (2-2) will be on the hill for Miami. He gave up two runs in seven innings in his last start, a win at Cleveland, where he walked five. Zambrano has been pretty much a steal of the year for the Fish as Chris Volstad was demoted to Triple-A Iowa last Friday. Volstad has a 0-6 record with a 7.46 ERA in 8 starts in the majors.
Colorado will go with Alex White (0-3). White pitched seven innings, giving up three runs, with seven strikeouts and no walks against the Mariners on Friday night, but he lost the game.
Marlins’ Lineup: Reyes SS, Infate 2B, Ramirez 3B, Dobbs 1B, Stanton RF, Coghlan LF, Hayes C, Petersen CF, Zambrano P
Omar Infante will be back tonight, after missing the three games due to the death of his grandfather.
As I told you before, the game won’t be televised in Florida. But, you can hear it on the radio at WAXY 790, WAQI 710.
