Buehrle Fans Eight in Carlos Lee’s Debut

Carlos Lee goes 2 for 4 in his Debut with the Marlins; Mark Buehrle strikes out eight batters

First off, Mark Buehrle had an excellent game as he went 7 2/3 innings and fanned eight batters on 105 pitches which 65 were strikes.

Carlos Lee who was recently acquired from the Houston Astros, made his debut with the Miami Marlins. Lee went 2 for 4 with a double and a run.

Also, Logan Morrison went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s. Greg Dobbs belted a pinch hit 2-run home run in ninth inning to expand the Marlins’ lead to four runs.

Randy Choate came in the ninth to try to give his team the victory but he hits the first batter he faces. Ozzie immediately gives the ball to Heath Bell as he gets the 4-6-3 double play and he strikes out Corey Hart to win the game.

Next Game: The Marlins travel to St.Louis to face the Cardinals. Ricky Nolasco will get the ball on Friday as he will face Jake Westbrook.
